Young Adults

Grief touches all ages, and dealing with the tragedy of the death of a loved one is hard to handle. MargaretAnn’s Place offers opportunities for young adults, ages 19-30, who have experienced a significant death to participate in peer education/support groups and to assist in mentoring grieving children. The groups provide a safe, open environment to share personal experiences with grief and provide support for other participants. Young adults serving as mentors enter into a symbiotic experience as they are able to help children work through their grief while learning more about their own grief experiences. MargaretAnn’s Place strives to create an open and accepting atmosphere and encourages its participants to do the same.

If you are a young adult interested in participating in any of MargaretAnn’s peer support/education groups or you are interested in learning more about how you can help mentor grieving children, sign up to volunteer or contact Ginger Heigl via email at ginger@margaretannsplace.org or by calling 414-732-2663.
